And now we have reached a point from where we all want to break out.

But, it has brought great benefits to e-commerce business and also to video calling apps like Zoom, Google Duo, etc. Working from home has become new normal, and in such situations, offices are using a variety of productivity tools and meeting software to keep in touch.

We are aware of such meetings, and many of us have attended it as well. But, we are not used to it, hence we tend to make many mistakes while attending a meeting or even when you are hosting a zoom meeting. 1. Typing or allowing noise without muting yourself

Just imagine your feeling when you are talking to someone, and that person has a noisy background. You do not want to be that person. There is a mute button on your screen, don't forget to turn it off when you are typing furiously, kids are screaming, or any other kind of noise. It not only leaves a bad impression on your colleagues and seniors but also looks rude. 

2. Avoid Eating, Drinking, or Smoking

Managing routine when you are home is not an easy task. You get busy with your family or some other work. But, do take time out from your busy schedule to get food or something to drink before or after meetings. If you are having food, ask your fellow mates if they are okay with you eating or drinking during the meeting.

3. Checking your phone or other apps

Getting yourself indulge in a phone or any apps during a meeting is considered highly unprofessional. We think the other person will not know, but it’s a video meeting and your colleagues and boss can notice your gaze. So, do not glance at your phone. By doing so, you leave the impression that you are not interested in the meeting. If you are doing multi-task, simply turn off your camera.

4. Leaving without Notice

It’s so simple, just think when you are attending a face-to-face meeting, you do not suddenly get up and walk out. You tell your reason and then come out of the meeting. Follow that here as well, if you need to leave, leave a notice behind. If you will randomly get up and walk away, you will confuse others.

5. Checking tech issues

We are always told to check all the technical aspects before your meeting. If your voice or video is not clear or you are facing some other technical problem during a meeting, it may annoy the person at the other end.

6. Adjusting your Camera

Your camera angle is an important point to consider during a video meeting. Adjusting cameras during meetings might give weird views to the other person. So, adjust your camera before going to the meeting.
