Was Work From Home Predicted More Than 50 Years Ago?

We practice so many things to predict what is going to happen in the future and what is the future of working patterns. We have numerologists, astrologers trying to tell us the dos and don'ts for a promising future of working. Sir Arthur c Clarke did not require any of these primitive methods to predict the future working. The British science fiction writer, famous for his book 2001:  A Space Odyssey, anticipated a lot of remote work, or we can say that work from home and predictable work in 194 itself! Some more than 50 years ago.

Clarke understood that we would live in a world “in which we will be in instant connection with each other.” He thought that man would be able to “contact our colleagues anywhere on earth, even if we don’t know their actual physical location.” within compromising remote working advanced technology.

What Sir Arthur C. Clarke prediction says,

This projection found on transmission technology that finally would give rise to cell phones, laptops, and the Internet, all of which enable us to relate with people how it benefits work from home anywhere and anytime. As an outcome of the future of remote working, it makes the point that commuting would no longer be crucial either. “Men will no longer commute,” stated Clarke. “They will—communicate.” He surmised that people would no longer journey for business—they would only travel for joy and leisure. While some people still have to tour as part of their jobs and they coordinate their job journey by work from home, Clarke was correct that many remote workers don’t have to travel into an office.
