In doing so, WhatsApp will make it easier for its upcoming AI chat function.
WhatsApp is introducing a new look that will boost the user-friendliness of its AI chat facility. The company, owned by the Meta, announced that they will implement AI chatbots in their popular messaging service. Some users of the United States can receive these AI assistants. WhatsApp also has another beta test idea, a list of statuses that can be viewed and sifted.
As per the feature tracker WABetainfo, some beta testers utilizing WhatsApp beta for Android version 220.127.116.11 discovered a new shortcut to commence AI chats. In latest beta version one can access this feature and FAB is used to integrate it in the primary chat list. The new chat button is represented by a white tab with a colored ring on it.
As a matter of fact, in September, Meta said that it would incorporate AI assistants into the messaging applications that it owns, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. These chatbots also rely on Meta’s most recent language model – Llama 2, which allows it to answer user questions and search the Web via Bing. Also, these assistants can generate pictures from written words. Besides, Meta informed that these AI avatars are going to have different personalities and will make the user experience more personalized.
The question for the future of Meta is: what now?
It will take Meta some time to roll out AI-cats to users in other parts of the world. However, the introduction of the new button is a major leap towards making this feature more available. The new button will greatly simplify the process of discovering and starting AI conversations, as it was previously necessary to take additional steps to create a new AI chat through the newly-created chat button.
WABetaInfo has identified another functionality in the next beta of WhatsApp for Android 18.104.22.168. The update comes with a filtered vertical list where a user can view all the available statuses as similar to the stories feature in Instagram. The feature tracker reveals that the vertical list format shows individual user statuses plus channels where all the status updates are available for the public.
The latest WhatsApp beta version introduces four new filters to assist users in managing their list of statuses. These filters include "All," "Recent," "Viewed," and "Muted," conveniently located at the top of the screen. This feature, aimed at organizing and filtering statuses, is anticipated to be rolled out to users on the stable update channel for both iOS and Android platforms in the future, enhancing the overall user experience on WhatsApp.
