After a stint in the BPO industry at Wipro, Sugata shifted to the Training and Development domain. He honed his skills at 2COMS consultancy, preparing candidates to reappear for interviews at international BPOs through a training intervention programme aptly named “Bridge Training '', which he co-authored. Sugata then took some time out from his professional career to set up his own business, a compact automotive service station, which went on to bear the Bosch workshop authorisation. After ensuring the business was able to run itself, he returned to the training profession, joining a Training and Development firm, Bizzmind Spectrum, providing services to several universities in West Bengal, including Haldia Institute of Technology. Chosen to lead the life skills team of a Tata Consultancy Service (ILP) centre with 750 participants within the university campus, Sugata used a combination of in-class and eLearning delivery. After Bizzmind, he joined a startup, PlantLearn Edventures, with a senior HR professional from TCS, and spent the next decade learning, researching and experimenting within Learning and Development. An automotive systems engineer from Kingston University, certified in High Impact Teaching Skills by Dale Carnegie, Sugata considers himself immensely privileged to have been educated and mentored by exceptional educators and professionals, to whom he attributes his ability to craft memorable learning experiences. A self-confessed movie buff, with a penchant for interesting facts and documentaries, Sugata regularly shares his opinions and reviews on films and series, and recounts captivating stories on his blogs.
